Welcome to Giddygoat Patchwork Sewing Studio!  I am so excited that you have decided to visit my website! About Me - well, my name is Gerardine Cahill, and I love everything about patchwork and quilting.  I mostly make quilts, but I also like to make smaller projects too.  I come from a large family, and we are all happiest when we are being creative.  As well as patchwork and quilting, I also like to knit, cross stitch, embroider, swim, walk, jog and read! I am the mother of 4 amazing children (two of which have flown the coop), and the wife of a super husband.
My sewing workshop, Giddygoat Patchwork Sewing Studio, is located in beautiful county Clare in Ireland.  It is a bright, airy space with lots of windows to let the sunshine in throughout the day.  I love to spend time here.  It is my happy place.
I run patchwork and quilting classes, as well as various workshops here at my studio.  These classes are fun, welcoming and sociable, as well as super productive.  I am so grateful for these classes, as I get to share my passion for this craft, but also because I have met the most amazing women who I am privileged to know and spend time with.
I also have my own line of patterns – to suit beginners and those with more experience. These come either as a pattern only, or as a kit, complete with instructions, templates, materials etc.  And to make it as user friendly as possible, most of the kits come with access to a video tutorial so you can follow me as I construct the pattern – making your project very easy to put together.
